Say, this is pretty spiffy. Anyway...
I finally got Yafray working under Linux for me. For those who know what I'm talking about, I found a FC5 RPM respository for yum that carried it, after trying unsuccessfully to compile it from source. (The compiled-from-source version couldn't find its own libraries, apparently.)
For dunno what Yafray is, it's a free (as in open-source) raytracer that works with Blender. (Blender's my 3D modeling program, also open source). While Blender's got a built-in raytracer, Yafray is actually much better, allowing for things like blur-edged shadows and caustics. Yafray is available at

In a minute or two I'll be sticking a comparison image in my scraps section.
